Pipe shielding often requires a level of design to meet the specific requirements of each facility, especially to accommodate valves, wall penetrations, access or inspections points, or complex bends and pipe runs.
Each segment of pipe shielding will be specially profiled with mating faces to prevent shine paths forming and ensuring proper shielding around bends, through walls, and around any valves and access points. Once joined together on site, the segments produce a complete radiation barrier around active pipe runs.
