HERITAGE LEAD, THE INNOVATIVE MATERIAL FOR HISTORIC BUILDINGS

Innovative and authentic, Heritage lead is the perfect product for restoring historic buildings. Coated on one side with tin, the lead sheet was developed specifically to meet the requirements of historic building and monument conservation and combines the advantages of both metals.

Condensation, poor ventilation and the aggressive tannins in many woods often cause problems for roofs and façades on listed buildings. The patented product Heritage Lead is especially suited to such applications. The tin coating on the rear guarantees reliable protection without affecting the authentic look of the front side. Heritage Lead thus offers extra durability within the constraints of listed building conservation.

Heritage Lead is ideal for traditional working on a building. It can be applied patinated or unpatinated to retain the unmistakable aura of the listed building even following restoration. Calder Lead produces the sheets for this application in formats tailored to the customer’s specifications.

BleiCOLOR - COLOURED LEAD

bleiCOLOR combines all the advantages of classic lead sheet with an attractive, permanently uniform colour coating. The coating blends in superbly with the aesthetic appearance of the building. It is environmentally compatible and extremely UV and weather-resistant.

bleiCOLOR permits the creation of flashings and surfaces that have a superior visual appearance, as well as a service life that is unsurpassed. The upper and lower surfaces of the product come in different popular roof colours, enabling each roll of bleiCOLOR to be laid on either side. Other colours are available on request.

The sheets can be worked easily in any weather. The coating prevents the formation of white streaks, so there is no requirement for time-consuming patination or painting following fitting. Like all lead sheet products, bleiCOLOR can also be cut flexibly to size in situ. It is processed in the same manner as untreated lead sheet and can be subjected to all forming techniques as well as soldering and welding.

bleiCOLOR is suitable for sealing roofs and façades and can also be laid on large surfaces. The product is available in the self-adhesive variant bleiCOLOR-SK and as bleiCOLOR dry ridge vent roll.

CORRUGATED

bleiCOLOR dry ridge vent roll was specially developed for sealing all typical ridge and hip tiles. The full-metal solution consists of a single lead sheet, giving it an extended service life. Its high intrinsic weight renders the edges extremely resistant to wind uplift – flapping due to adhesive fatigue is thus excluded.

Since no adhesive is required to fix bleiCOLOR dry ridge vent roll, it can be fitted in any weather and at any temperature. Once unrolled on the ridge, bleiCOLOR dry ridge vent roll only needs to be fixed to the apex using nails or tacks and then formed. The corrugated sheets are elastic at the expansion zones and can be formed individually. The perforation ensures reliable aeration in accordance with DIN 4108 (Part 3).

The UV and weather-resistant coating ensures a uniform, long-lasting finish that harmonises with the roof colour. The sheets are supplied with a two-colour coating so that they can be laid on either side. bleiCOLOR dry ridge vent roll thus perfectly complements the classic bleiCOLOR and its self-adhesive variant bleiCOLOR-SK.

SELF ADHESIVE LEAD SHEETS

bleiCOLOR-SK is a variant of the proven classic bleiCOLOR that is self-adhesive over its entire rear side. bleiCOLOR-SK is particularly suitable for all sealings between roofing and adjoining building components. The strong adhesive layer makes working on roofs and façades easier, enabling the product to be laid quickly and cost-effective. bleiCOLOR-SK also has the strengths of classic lead sheet products: extreme durability, very good cold forming properties and recyclability.

The colour-coated surface is available in the standard roof colours. bleiCOLOR-SK blends harmoniously into the appearance of the building whilst retaining its attractive, uniform colouring. bleiCOLOR-SK is extremely UV and weather-resistant and can be formed flexibly.
