Calder Lead are delighted to welcome Darren Tutt, who will be leading our newly launched Technical Advisory Service. Darren joins us with a wealth of industry knowledge and experience. His appointment will cement the skills of our existing team and ongoing commitment to providing expert advice, a high quality and comprehensive product range and wide range of customer focused services.
Darren was the Senior Technical Officer at the Lead Sheet Association (LSA) for over 5 years. He comments: “This was fantastic experience, where I worked directly with Architects, Specifiers and Contractors to pass on my industry knowledge. I formed some wonderful relationships during my time at LSA; ones which I hope to build upon in my role as Head of Technical Services at Calder Lead”.
“When I was offered the chance of joining Calder Lead I jumped at the opportunity. They encompass everything that I feel is vital to this industry and have provided me with a platform to carry on doing what I love the most – helping anybody, with anything to do with lead! Calder Lead are a forward-thinking company and I am looking forward to being part of their team”.
The newly launched Technical Advisory Service for our Roofing Division, is aimed at Contractors and Architects, Design and Build Businesses and Builders Merchants. Providing a range of services, including general technical advice, in-depth surveying and reporting, specification support and drawing take-offs. Advice will be tailored to each client, dependant on the application or project requirements, size and budget.
Darren relaxes and keeps fit by walking in the local countryside. Having four dogs forces him out in all weathers but he enjoys walking in the pouring rain or a blizzard the most.
“I am sure some people must think I am raving mad but don’t knock it until you’ve tried it! I also enjoy visiting historic buildings across the country to admire the architecture involved and yes, on occasion, scrutinize the lead work!”
We wish Darren (pictured above with Commercial Director Martin Armour) the best of luck in his new role. To contact him please call: 01244 393710 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
